Food Scene
There are so many eating and drinking places in this lovely ancient stannary town (I am told there are 26!). From a quaint cafe in a flower shop (smells amazing) to speciality restaurants using fabulous Cornish produce. You even get the chance to eat in a cafe owned by the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall with amazing views across the valley and Restormel Castle.

Arts & Culture
We just love Hall for Cornwall which offers such a wide variety of entertainment. Unfortunately the hall is closed for refurbishment at the moment but we look forward to the new calendar of events when it re-opens. There is so much to do in this capital city - museums, art galleries, boat trips, cycle and walking routes, retail therapy, and of course the beautiful cathedral.

Although Cornwall is steeped with history, the castle remains at Tintagel run by English Heritage, are just amazing. A new £4 million bridge will be in situ by 2019 to gain access to the castle, high on a rock above the sea. Stunning views of rugged Corwall. Another great historic must, is Lanhydrock house, Bodmin. The tragic tale which led to this beautiful Victorian House being left to the National Trust is heartbreaking. The gardens, woodlands and church are also well worth a visit.

Tintagel

Shopping
You wont find any large super stores in Fowey, but you will certainly find some lovely gift shops. Something out of the ordinary and often hand made. And to enhance your shopping trip there are some fabulous eating places with unrivalled river views.

Wadebridge is a lovely, friendly town with plenty of small shops for that special, unique gift. There is also plenty of bike hire shops if you fancy working off some of the calories you have been tempted to eat during your shopping trip!

Getting Around
Newquay airport has daily flights in and out of london and there is a car rental right beside the airport. A great way of beating the traffic!

Drinks & Nightlife
There are many micro breweries popping up and we even have a local gin distillery with viewing tours in Lanlivery which is just a 5 minute drive away. St. Austell Brewery is the largest company in the area and they do beer tours and tasting! There are also a few vineyards now which provide tours. Camel Valley in Nanstallon near bodmin does amazing sparkling wines - fit for the Queen! They are the first English wine producer to be awarded a Royal Warrant after providing the Royal Household with wine over a number of years.
