So this place is another of our favorites. It is a coffee house and bakery with a the best European style bakery for many many miles around. Fresh bread and pastries are made daily and displayed under a glass covering for your selection. The lunch menu is super yummy with soups, sandwiches and salads. Plus the coffee and smoothies are fantastic! Casual dining, great for families, singles or couples. It is also located just a short 6 min drive from our home and very near the Flint Hills Discovery center and Poyntz Ave for a day of fun, shopping and activities.

Drinks & Nightlife
Close to K-State this area is lined with Bars and Clubs. Everything from dance clubs, country bars, greasy late night food, dive bars...etc. Friday and Saturday nights are busiest but this area is always hopping!

Parks & Nature
We love this place! If your visiting Kansas and want to see stunning views of the local grasslands this is the place to be! There are three hiking trail loops, (3, 6 & 8 miles) and stunning views at the top of the hill where you can see for miles around. Great for families, individuals or groups but I would not advise strollers. The trail could be a struggle for small kids and pets are not allowed.

Essentials
Right down the road and the best prices on groceries in town, but if you have never been to an Aldi don't forget to bring a quarter and bags with you! You'll need a quarter to get the cart (which you will get back when you return the cart) and bags are not provided by the store.

With a plethora of fun and educational toys and activities this is a fantastic place for families, kids and people interested in the natural beauty of the grasslands.
