This park is home to Lesotho's War Memorial, which also houses an iconic Spitfire used in World War II. It is symbolic of the 24 Spitfire's Lesotho contributed to the war. This historic artefact is nestled in an urban garden ideal for walks and picnics.

Katse Dam Botanical Gardens & Nursery
There are large expanses of terrain that can be explored for a quick hike, forage through to the Caledon river or the secluded Japane Dam. (*permission might be sort from the collage for some routes, but we used to trespass when I was younger, for a bit of "mokhoiso"-not for the faint hearted). For something a bit more docile, go to "ka Sputaneng" in Sea-point for a bit of tame nature. (slides for kids, flowers)
