Highly recommend this tour underground, through Seattle's sordid (and hilarious!) history. There is also an associated "Paranormal" tour that you can take, only at night. It's Seattle’s most unusual attraction, a humorous stroll through intriguing subterranean storefronts and sidewalks entombed when the city rebuilt on top of itself after the Great Fire of 1889.

The Seattle Aquarium is the ninth largest aquarium in the U.S. by attendance and among the top five paid visitor attractions in the Puget Sound region. The dome room and outdoor otter exhibits are my favorite :) It's also a wonderful waterfront neighborhood to explore!

The UW campus is beautiful and park-like with gorgeous architectural sights and - I especially recommend - visiting the Reading Room in Suzzallo Library, if you want to see a local version of the Great Hall in Harry Potter :)

Walk on the ferry to Bainbridge island and explore the little town of Winslow, which you can walk to from the ferry landing. Then walk on the ferry again to return, and keep an eye out for orcas on the way!
