Take it from a Korean - this is the #1 Korean BBQ restaurant in Koreatown. It really doesn't get better than this for the top-of-the-line, best quality meats done Korean style. Its walls are adorned with the pictures and autographs of many celebrity visitors who also know what's up. You can't go wrong here - but one thing to know is that it's NOT all-you-can-eat (and that's a good thing), and for good reason - their cuts are simply the best. Check it out - it's about 20 minutes away from our house by Uber/Lyft!

A lot of people from out of town ask me where the best Korean BBQ spots are. Road to Seoul is one of my personal favorites. It's all you can eat, and it's great quality meat. Expect a line on weekend nights - but it's well worth it!

This classic Eagle Rock fixture is your classic LA diner. Great breakfast and lunch options. This place bustles on the weekends, and for good reason - it's just good food, and very reasonably priced for what you get. It's just good ol' classic American food. They randomly have Thai food as well on the menu (I think the owners might be Thai it seems). It's open till 4pm, just FYI. Highly recommend!

If you love cheese, Milkfarm is the place for you! Raclette Night every first Friday of the month starting at 5 p.m. Just do it. Milkfarm is such a cute boutique artisan cheese shop on Colorado! We came on Raclette Night. When you walk in you breathe in the smell of smoky cheese (probably how (my version of) heaven smells like), which is the raclette cheese that they're melting for each plate. They have cheeses and cured meats on display, and even sell other items such as jam, wines and spirits. Prices are a bit steeper than what you would find at your neighborhood market.

Quaint gastropub with an excellent selection of craft beers and wine. Low wait times (if any) and very low key. Try the homemade biscuits - they're to die for.

On the super hip York Blvd about a mile away, Block Party is in the walking section where you'll find many bars and fun boutiques. It has a giant shuffle board, Wii games projected onto walls, and hot dog carts! Definitely a cool spot for a fun time.

The Americana is the biggest mall closest to our place. It's about 10 minutes away by car, and has numerous shops and restaurants. One of my personal faves at this mall is Din Tai Fung, where you can enjoy some great dim sum!

Lots of great views of Los Angeles on these trails. Easy to moderate trails, great for a nice morning hike. I personally recommend going earlier in the morning as it can get pretty hot in the middle of the day. I like to return back home before 10am. Make sure you have water and sunblock!

This is the home of the iconic Infinity Mirror room by Yayoi Kusama. This museum always features very abstract and hip exhibits, and makes for a fun visit. If you do want to take your obligatory selfie in the Inifinity Mirror room though, ensure you reserve well ahead (like, MONTHS sometimes) of time and get there early even before it opens at 10am. You will get 45 seconds to bask in its wonder before the next guest kicks you out!
