The restaurant is housed in a turn-of-the-century house by Lake Mälaren and serves seasonal food with local ingredients. Vegetables are the focus, but poultry, fish and everything in between are also on the menu. The creative director of the kitchen is the renowned Sally Voltaire.
Also, just behind the villa you will find the sister Fuego, a pop-up restaurant with roots in Mexican cuisine and French vineyards, but with the heart of small-scale producers.

One of the best restaurants I know. You are greeted by a seemingly simple menu in an unpretentious former pizzeria, but inside the shell you will find absolutely incredible food and a very nice atmosphere. Difficult to book a table, but they often have some drop-in seats at the bar.

Alongside schmaltz classics such as chicken soup and the reuben sandwich that has definitely made its way to Stockholm via an even more classic Jewish New York deli, a pie on prime rib and caramelized onions is served, among other things, which has a lovely crispy puff pastry cover. Yes, at Schmaltz, food is cooked with a capital F. It's salty and hearty. You get full. And served with a certain elegance. Also by number out of the naturally fun wine cellar down a spiral staircase.
The staff are attentive, warm and genuinely pleasant from start to finish.

Café Tranan is one of those places that got extremely trendy at the end of the nineties. Bet then after all these years it´s still one of the classic hot spots of Stockholm. The restaurant on the street level is very classy and unpretentious at the same time. Even though it's not on the menu, if you ask you can order the most classic Swedish dish there is: meatballs with potatoes. It's also one of the best versions of this dish that I know.
The door on the right leads down to a bar in the basement. It's really nice, and often with great DJ:s playing in the bar.

It's huge and you will find an ice cream bar, pizza bar, music bar (vinylbaren) and a huge restaurant with an à la carte menu. Famous people, fancy people, normal people, all ages get together here. A wonderful place for both lunch, dinners and bar hanging.

Just walk up the hill from here and you will find a nice park, perfect for barbecue or sunbathing the whole afternoons. And you will have a nice view out over the roofs of Stockholm.

As an alternative to the subway, from here leaves bus n°2, every 10 minutes, going directly to Stureplan, Kungsträdgården, gamla stan, slussen... I use this one more than the subway!

You always feel welcome at Paname. It's small, personal and unpretentious in the best sense. Paname is run by a couple of parisian people and the name Paname is actually an old nick name of Paris.

In the old house there is a restaurant with amazing food, and outside there are several big areas with more simple food, live music, DJ:s. Just go there and you will find yourself happy and never want to leave.
