Largely considered the best seafood restaurant in Wilmington and we agree. It about 3 minutes away. There is almost always a wait, but they do have call ahead that can help with the wait times. We think it is work the wait. The fish is always fresh and the local catches are actually local. They also have the best homemade desserts around.

One of the all time great scenic restaurants in Wilmington. Although located about 25-30 away in Wrightsville beach, we always think it worth the drive. Located on Crystal Pier, no other restaurant can match the views. The food and drinks are great as well.

There are also no cars allowed on the island so to explore we recommend either a bike rental or golf cart. This island features unbelievable views and beaches. We highly recommend a day trip is possible. The costs can add up so be prepared as you have to pay for the Fort Fisher Ride to Southport then pay for the Ferry ride to Bald Head Island. Check the rates online and the schedules for the Bald Head Island ferry. You then need to take into account the Golf Cart or Bike rentals. We believe it is worth it as it is truly an experece.

Always get to the beach early on Weekends. Carolina Beach has a ton of public parking but it can fill up very quickly on weekends. Ride Sharing (Uber/Lift) are also great options to get to the beach and not worry about parking. Costs about the same as the Meters.
