This excellent, family-run restaurant is situated between the cathedral and Cromwell's House museum and is only about a five minute walk from the house. It provides the best of traditional English cuisine with fresh local produce and is the only restaurant I have ever known to offer the diners "seconds".

This is a Pub/Restaurant. Good food, nice beer, and nice atmosphere. There are table in the back garden which has a very nice vibe, especially on a fine day. Only about a five minute walk from the house.

This is a must place to visit . The selection of beers and ciders are amazing , they even sell the beers and ciders in 2/3rd pints 1/3 pint , also do paddles with 3 1/3 cups , which is a good way to sample different drinks .

The "bar" category is very misleading. This is not a "bar" in the American sense but a typical traditional English Pub where people meet and socialise. Good beer, good food, friendly and only a 5 minute walk from the house.
