Biking trail that goes to Treasure Island along the Bay Bridge. You can also walk this but the entrance is a very far walk from the house. Recommend taking a car service or bike.

Appointments/tickets required. Nice relaxing controlled walks through various landscapes. Cactus garden is pretty cool and the other areas are nice - nothing spectacular but if you appreciate plants you will enjoy. From the Rose Garden area you can get some good City view.

Appointments/tickets required. Nice relaxing controlled walks through various landscapes. Cactus garden is pretty cool and the other areas are nice - nothing spectacular but if you appreciate plants you will enjoy. From the Rose Garden area you can get some good City view.
Nice urban lake, man made. The side near the Grand Lake Theater is closer to food and shops.
The side closer to the City is accessible via the 19th street BART station. For a nice meal on lake try Lake Chalet - there is also a sister restaurant in San Francisco called Beach Chalet.
