A truly wonderful place to visit whilst you’re here in the lakes. They do gorgeous food in the bistro at lunch times and into the early evening.
They also do tours around the distillery with whisky and gin taster sessions. Alongside this, they have a shop on site where you can brows their different whiskey, gin and vodka creations.

One of my personal favourites to visit in Cockermouth for both food and drinks. 15 mins drive with nearby parking available. They do an amazing Sunday lunch!

25/30 minute drive away but the centre of lots of walks in the lakes. Next to Derwent water and fells such as Catbells. Some days they have markets on which has a great atmosphere. Lovely places to eat and drink, a great day out.

No Bus Services
There are no bus services that come through Branthwaite unfortunately. Travelling by cars is a necessity around here. Taxi services are available but they like to push the prices up if they can. Quite a “hilly” area if you were to travel by bicycle.
