I love all the beaches in the park. In the summer it can get quite busy so I like to visit the park early in the morning or sunsets. My favourite things to do are surfing of course and beach combing. Long beach has a fun wave on either side of the big rock, it gets good on a mid to high tide but it can be rippy so it is not recommended for swimming.
My favourite beaches within the park are Schooner Cove you have to go way down to the end. its beautiful. radar beaches are also breathtaking but the hike down is steep and muddy. In heavy rains it floods and is pretty treacherous. Combers beach is also awesome

The views along the Tonquin connector trail are amazing. Tonquin is great place to capture the sunsets. In the mornings its possible to see the sports fishermen heading out and also the occasional whale.

In the past too many people use to crowd the springs but now they limit boat and plane numbers for a more expensive but better experience

This is a pretty muddy rooty trail but the view is breathtaking. If you cross over to the other side it is often out of the wind and has a view of the pacific rim park. To find it park at maltby road and hike to the south end of the beach. The path is unmarked but well used and starts on the rocks

If the coast is stuck in the fog Kennedy lake if often much hotter and won’t have the fog. Swim beach has a nice sand beach but it often gets swimmers itch. The boat launch and a couple other pull outs have rockier beaches but are much nicer for swimming as they don’t get the itch. The water is often nice and warm.

This is a fantastic family run business. Mike and Lynn White have decades of experience fishing and life guarding in Tofino. This wildlife watching boat experience will not disappoint.

I worked for years at the schooner when I was younger. They have many delicious seafood dishes. The Thai hot pot, halibut bawden bay, spicy prawns and peppered steak were some of the favourites when I worked there over 20 years ago and still are today

Vehicles are convenient to get too and from Ucluelet or the beaches in the park. A beautiful multi use path connects all the way to long beach for biking. The free shuttle runs in summer months to long beach, cox bay and down town

We have a great local theatre. Every Monday they show a new movie. Occasionally they have live theatre. It is run by non transient locals and has a great vibe. It is located directly across from the village green.

In the summer months the bioluminescence on the beach can be seen and also in the water. Moonless nights are best for seeing it. If you jump or kick the wet sand you will see little flecks of glowing
