One of the oldest parks in the community, City Park is located in the east-central part of Manhattan, close to downtown and Aggieville and directly across the street from City Hall. Although the park is managed for high volume use, it provides ample space for quiet conversation and picnics throughout its 45 acres.
A large outdoor stage in the northeast section of the park hosts Arts in the Park, a nationally recognized summer outdoor entertainment series. Several ball fields, a rose garden, tennis courts with lights, an outdoor basketball court, a mile-long perimeter multi-use trail, playground, splash park, and aquatic center make City Park a place that offers something for everyone.

Farmer’s market for local Kansas meat and produce
Free entry. It is located in the west Dillard's parking lot across the street from the mall (3rd and Leavenworth). Hours are from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. every Saturday, from April through October. (9am winter start time)
Established in 1979, the Downtown Farmers Market of Manhattan is one of the oldest markets in the state.
It has a rich history of local producers bringing fresh meats, vegetables, breads and baked goods to the Manhattan area each week. You will discover many local crafters bringing handmade jewelry, soaps, woodworking and other art mediums to the market.
