We definitely recommend driving over to Huntsville while you are in town. Downtown huntsville (about 15-20 minute drive away) is very walkable and has wonderful restaurants to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Downtown will be packed with a young party crowd on Friday/Saturday nights...not recommended for young families. There are also multiple breweries for those beer lovers out there. Beezr and Campus 808 are some of our favorites! Campus 808 usually has live music in their courtyard and is great if you are looking for a place to eat and let the kids run around.

Huntsville

This park is great for families or individuals looking to get out of the house and be active. There is a pond with ducks, turtles and Canadian geese. A paved walking trail around the soccer fields. The recreational center has an indoor and outdoor pool, basketball court, indoor track and tennis court. These are all accessible to walk-ins for a low fee. There is also a free playground.
