The best empanadas in this or any town! Really nice friendly laid-back atmosphere, jazz music playing in the bar, a great menu of the best of Argentinean food, and some cool cinema+meal deals...

My favourite place for a Paella in Barcelona. Great location on the large terrace by the sea in Barceloneta, friendly and attentive staff, straight up good service and great food.

A top place for quality tapas in the heart of the Eixample. Good value, great service, you might have to queue for a little while to get in as it´s popular. Serves food non-stop till 1am

Grand classic style bar-restaurant with impressive tapas and cheap beer. If you know how to play billiards (as in the one with 2 white balls and no pockets) then this is your lucky day

aka ¨La Xampanyeria¨, this is a must-see when in Barcelona. Buy glasses of Cava for 1 Euro and great (greasy) tapas and sandwiches in a wonderful atmospheric bar where little has changed in 50 years

This place is a popular cocktail lounge bar but I personally love it on Sundays as a place to go for Brunch. They do great smoothies and have popular brunch dishes like Eggs Benedict and Pancakes

A nice little Venezuelan bar serving one of the cheapest and yet tastiest Mojitos in town (3Euro before 11pm). They do a mean hamburger and fries too and play cool latino music

Microbrewery serving my favourite Barcelona beer, Moritz. They serve food too but its a little bit overpriced, best to stick to the draft beer, pulled straight from the barrels where its brewed.
