Getting Around

Services are operated by South Western Railway and Southern. Trains serve Central London (Waterloo and Victoria), Clapham Junction, Wimbledon, West Croydon, Sutton, Leatherhead, Dorking, Guildford and Horsham.

Parks & Nature

Rosebery Park is situated in the southern part of the Borough in Epsom town centre. The park can be accessed from South Street, Ashley Road, Avenue Road and Ladbroke Road and is open all year round. There is no separate car parking facility but the Park is close to the large multi-storey car park at the Ashley Centre. Rosebery Park is a garden park with wide areas of open grass, many mature trees, beds full of interesting flowers and shrubs, and a large pond with a small wildlife pond adjacent to it. Fishing is not permitted on either pond. The park is very popular as a lunch time picnic spot during the summer months. There is a new children's playground at the Ashley Road edge of the park.

Alexandra Recreation Ground is situated in the southern half of the Borough about a quarter of a mile from Epsom town centre. The main entrance, with limited car parking, is situated off Alexandra Road opposite Bridle Road. The park is crossed by a designated cycle path and bridleway and there are a number of pedestrian entrances into the park - from Bridge Road, at its junction with Alexandra Road; from Norman Avenue; from Wallace Fields, and from Windmill Lane. Facilities include basket ball court, bowling green, children and teenage play area,cricket pitch, football changing facilities, tennis courts and a MUGA.
