In het dorp zijn verschillende winkels en eet gelegenheden Ons houten tiny house van 40 m² ligt in een besloten tuin direct aan de Ringvaart, op steenworp afstand van Amsterdam. Met een Uber ben je in 20 minuten in het centrum (+/- 20 euro). Met openbaar vervoer ben je 35 minuten onderweg. Haarlem en het strand in Zandvoort zijn bovendien gemakkelijk en snel bereikbaar.
