Karaka Rural Guest House

Private guest suite separated from the main house by a shared laundry area. A spacious sunny living area, a modern fully equipped kitchen, complete with oven, hobs, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The lounge has a heat pump to keep you cosy (or cool), Sky TV, rural wireless internet & the home is double glazed. There are 2 Double bedrooms complete with brand new furnishings, K & Q beds. As well as a deck area, including outdoor table. The setting is beautiful, private and comfortable.

With its own private entrance, the suite is connected to one end of the owner’s residence yet remains completely secluded for your comfort and privacy. Not suitable for children under 13 yrs.

The Pearl of Whakatiwai

The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed with view of Tikapa Moana and the Coromandel. A great little kitchen with oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need. No TV, but great WiFi available. The price has recently increased but I didn’t increase my amount.

Box on the Hill

Box on the Hill is a quiet couples retreat, just 20 min outside of Raglan. From your unit you have vast views of the beautiful Waitetuna Valley, looking out to Mount Pirongia. Couples stay a night, a weekend or chose to elope here. The space is light filled and opens up to your own private garden and outdoor seating. The unit is modern and open plan. It has a comfy queen bed, kitchenette (no stove), bbq, ensuite bathroom and lounge space. Relax with an unplugged stay (no wifi).

You can choose to explore the forest walks 5 mins drive away in Waitetuna Valley, sit beside the river on the reserve or take a small trip to Raglan and its surf beaches. The studio is just 15 minutes from Raglan and 30 minutes from central Hamilton and on the bus route.

(Update 20th August): Spring lambs are here! We love NZ's native birds and here you will find a small oasis of native plants and bird feeders. Fantail, Tui, Kereru & Ruru are regular visitors. Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Stay in and relax or explore what Auckland and Hamilton have to offer. Yes some exciting news. We can now offer an easy walk to the bus stop that takes you to the brand new Drury train station you can take the train all the way into Auckland city or if preferred to our local Pukekohe. It's approximately a one hour train trip a 10min bus ride and about a 12min walk. Trains come every 10mins.
