Enjoy a meal at the Calendula Cottage Garden Cafe which is within the grounds. Suit couples, solo and business travelers. Making up the sofa bed is an extra $25 cost when not sharing the Queen bed.

Please note we have a cat who may come visiting but please feel free to let us know if you would prefer we kept them away.

A tiny isolated hut amidst Kauri and Rimu trees to escape the world, self check in. Outdoor Fire, long drop, outdoor hot shower/bath. Surrounded by Tuis and Wood pigeons the hut is close to Piha and Karekare…or simply stay and enjoy nature. Beaches are 10 minutes away by car. Grocery shopping and gassing up recommended beforehand. Misty Mountain Hut supports local Piha staff by paying $40/hr.

We are situated just 27km from the Dury off ramp and 2mins from the main shopping centre of Waiuku. BLACK BARN RETREAT is the perfect place to stay if you are coming out here for a Wedding, as we are close to all the Wedding Venues. You will have unlimited Wi-Fi, and Netflix. There is plenty of off street parking. We are on 1acre of land so neighbours are not a problem, it is very quiet.
