This self-contained studio apartment, located on the beautiful Mon and Brec Canal, is an ideal base for exploring our stunning Welsh countryside. Providing direct access to the central Beacons and the Black Mountains. Wern Ddu is set down a private drive (private parking) in its own garden with beautiful views down to the river and of the surrounding Beacons. In the designated dark skies area of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park with miles of walks and exciting visitor attractions, Wern Ddu offers the perfect dog friendly escape for up to four guests in a relaxing atmosphere, a short distance from Brecon, Merthyr Tydfil and the villages of Sennybridge and Defynnog with their traditional pubs and shops.

An historic fully refurbished character barn attached to our traditional Welsh Long House home. Having a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed accessing it via a beautiful spiral staircase. Downstairs is an open plan lounge kitchen dinner with a wood burning stove and a beautiful chandelier. The kitchen is well appointed including electric oven/hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a wine cooler. Large windows are at the front and back of the property with the most stunning views.

Spacious 3 bedroom cottage in heart of Beacons

Cwmclyn Canol is a quiet and cozy cottage inside the Bannau Breicheniog National Park with a pub within walking distances and footpaths directly onto Pen Y Fan. The cottage was refurbished in 2022 to a high standard and boasts magnificent mountain views. Additional views include waddling ducks, squabbling chickens and honking geese. Good wifi, TV/DVD, films and a box of games. Kitchen has plenty of everything and there is a log burner in the living room as well as a firepit outside.

Step aboard The Toad, a beautifully restored 1921 GWR brake van (AKA Toad Wagon), once a vital part of post-war goods trains. Weighing 20 tons and brimming with original rustic features, this historic wagon offers characterful self-catering accommodation with a touch of luxury. Enjoy your own private en-suite with hot shower, wood-fired hot tub, and peaceful soundtrack of birdsong and country life. The Toad makes a fantastic all-year-round base to explore the Brecon Beacons and beyond.

Cosy Barn Cottage on a Welsh Hill Farm

Gilfach translates from the Welsh as ‘nook’ or ‘hideaway’. This perfectly describes the farm, tucked away in a steep sided valley yet only 5mins drive from the A40. The farm dates back four hundred years, part of the original stone barn has been converted into the Barn Cottage. Just north of the Brecon Beacons national park and nestling in the folds of the hills. The cottage has a cosy wood burner and everything you need to enjoy tranquillity and rest.

If you're looking for a perfect winter get away with a wood burner in the living room, a fire pit in the large garden (with logs provided) and plenty of hot water for a dip in the roll top bath, this is the perfect place !
