Nestling in a quiet rural setting Hilderstone Stable was converted recently into a contemporary high quality 2 bed cottage. 5 mins north of J35 M6. This cottage is ideally located for exploring the Lake District, Arnside/Silverdale AONB, Leighton Moss and Yorkshire Dales. The settlement of Hilderstone can be traced back to the 13th century. The barn was built originally in c1750. There is still a working farm as part of the 200 acre Hilderstone Farm. A great base for outdoor activities.

Olde Blue Bell Cottage forms part of an 18th century coaching inn that finally ceased trading in the 1950’s. Full of character, it provides a cosy base from which to explore the lakes, mountains and coast. Walk from the door up Heversham hill, for stunning views of the Cumbrian fells and estuary. For a relaxing meal out or drink there are a variety of cafes and pubs within a 3 mile radius of the cottage. We provide a warm welcome to all, dogs and children especially.

The cottage is in the small village of Gressingham in the beautiful Lune valley and Forest of Bowland AONB. There is easy access to both the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales national parks. In addition the attractions of Kirkby Lonsdale, the historical city of Lancaster and RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss are only 15-20 minutes away. Gressingham is a small, picturesque village and makes the perfect location for walkers, cyclists and those wanting a country break.
