Farm View Cottage in Swannanoa

Farm View Cottage is a sweet two bedroom one bath small home that sits on a knoll overlooking mountains and our pastures. The cottage offers you privacy and a quiet place to relax. The location finds you just seven miles from Asheville, five to Black Mountain, and three miles from Warren Wilson College. You are close to hiking trails, local breweries and an eclectic choice of Asheville eateries. Biltmore Estate is 20 minutes away. For longer visits there are nearby grocery and pharmacies.

The Nook - Obsessively Handmade Hyperlocal AVL

This house is a collection of stories. Stories of cultural and personal history, ecology, and craft. To celebrate this area's incredible legacy of craft, we’ve collaborated with some of the most talented makers in the region. Buckeye Studio is nestled in the country between Asheville and Black Mountain. 800 sf Studio on a 2 acre lot with queen bed and sleeper sofa. Fully equipped kitchenette with mini fridge. Private outside seating on porch with beautiful sunset and mountains. You might hear in the distance some farm animals - roosters and donkeys. Welcome to The Understory. Nestled deep in the rhododendron covered woods, this romantic hand-crafted tiny home offers you a peaceful and memorable stay just 15 minutes from both Asheville and Black Mountain. The comfortable living space includes a rain shower, king sized bed in a lofted sleeping area, cozy wood stove and a full kitchen. Surrounding the cabin is a large deck with a table and chairs, a luxurious soaking bathtub, and a patio equipped with a fire pit and propane grill.

Spruce Fork Cottage is a cozy cabin using some solar energy with 2 bedrooms, living/dining area, kitchen, and bathroom with shower. It is a prefect getaway for 1 to no more than 4 people and is within 20 minutes of Asheville, 15 minutes from Black Mountain, 10 minutes from market/gas. Areas to hike are close by or accessible via the Blue Ridge Parkway. Mount Mitchell is an hour north on BR Parkway, Carl Sandburg is about an hour South. Everyone is welcome.

Welcome to our cozy mountain retreat! Completely remodeled, pet & family friendly with mountain views. The perfect place to enjoy a a peaceful mountain getaway. Just 15 minutes to Asheville, 15 minutes to Black Mountain, and 7 miles to Blue Ridge Parkway Entrance. No steep roads, home is all on one level, with covered parking area. Close to hiking, rafting, galleries, great food, breweries, music and more. Pet fee $50.00.

The Starling: A Small A-Frame in the Blue Ridge

Feel the mountain breeze in this air inspired rustic A-Frame. Atop the ridge, enjoy year-round views of the mountains from the back porch. Hike up Rhododendron Ridge Trail or cozy up by the wood stove with a book. Start a campfire or listen to the sounds of Bee Tree Creek in the hammock. Nightlife, food, coffee and breweries in Asheville or Black Mountain are 15 minutes away. It's an hour to Great Smokey Mountains National Park!

Waterfall Cottage

Built in 2010, Waterfall Cottage provides a romantic, comfortable, rustic retreat space in the woods perched just above a magical flowing mountain stream. Both downtown Asheville and the charming town of Black Mountain are only a 10 to 15 minute drive away. Note: While Swannanoa was hit hard by Hurricane Helene, both our property and our woodsy neighborhood community were not severely damaged.
