The untouched mountain provides an interesting before and after contrast to the power of Mother Nature, along with the amazing pace of her recovery. In many ways our woods are prettier than ever. It is a short drive of 8 mi. to Mars Hill, 17 mi. to Hot Springs and 19 mi. to Asheville.
