The Yeast Group was established in December 2012, located on Jalan Telawi 2 in a shop house, a little bistro with an intimate outdoor patio, serves a proper Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu following the French Tradition.
Attracted customer coming for the quality of the food and the establishment’s pork-free status. The bistro was designed in the style of classic Parisian eateries with authentic food to match.
A bakery, restaurant and a wine bar combo, Yeast Bistronomy is a quaint, French-themed eatery by restaurateur Christophe Chatron-Michaud and his Malaysian wife, Lissan Teh. Its dine-in menu focuses on French cuisine given Asian touches, like grilled bamboo king prawn with saffron risotto and seared Hokkaido scallop. Also good is mesclun lardons (egg salad) and their quiche Lorraine. At the bakery, madeleines and macaroons are great, but the astonishingly soft and flavoursome artisan French breads, ranging from its bestseller almond croissant to the rare smoked duck cheese puff has christened this our all-time favourite tea-time haunt in KL.

Yeast offers French cuisine in an unfussy bistro ambiance – black and white tiled floor, gently lit dining room and paper-covered tables. Very laidback feel and hardly intimidating. The menu is confident and straightforward, dotted with classic French bistro fare featuring premium local ingredients.
