Lovely walks to see a wide range of birdlife. A small visitors centre and picnic area.

Once a working hill farm, now it’s a spectacular nature reserve tucked away in the Marteg Valley. There are a number of marked walks along the river and around the valley, which take in the old railway bed, the waterfalls where you can see salmon leaping in autumn, the Welsh Longhouse farmhouse, an oak wood, archaeological remains, and The Monks Trod.

Part of the Radnorshire Wildlife Trust this is a must visit place for nature lovers. Salmon can be seen leaping up the Marteg river during the autumn spawning season.

Gilfach Nature Reserve is the farm that time forgot. Set in the beautiful uplands of rural Mid-Wales, there is over 400 acres to explore.
