If you have time for a hike or bike ride, find Linear Park. It's a trail that has multiple points of entry around Manhattan and is a great ride on a bike or for a jogger.

Linear Park is great but what we call the Big Blue River Trail right next to it (enter from 24 highway right over the bridge) is even better! You walk along the river’s edge and enjoy nature and a trail. Look for the mailbox that’s just at the convergence of the Kansas River and the Big Blue.
