Another perfect place to launch a raft or kayak and float the river. The float is slow and at times shallow, so plan about 4 hours to do the float. Dive in when the water gets deep and take a swim to cool off. Take a cooler with your favorite drinks and plenty of sunscreen. There are often Moose in the water in this area.

River floating! Rent a raft and get a shuttle ride up river. Then enjoy the three hour float through calm waters and beautiful forest. Moose sightings are likely. But remember to give them space, they can hurt you if you don't respect their space.

This river is a great activity for anyone. It is a calm float from the Big Springs boat launch down to the Marriot at Mack’s inn. We also rent kayaks and paddleboards that you can rent to float the river.
