A small kettle pond is yours to explore when the tide goes out. Check the tide times before your visit and wear shoes good for wading. Located 1 mile down RT-32 North on the right side of the road.
The Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge is a 9,125-acre National Wildlife Refuge made up of several parcels of land along 50 miles of Maine's southern coast.
(Route 32) is a special spot on the shores of Muscongus Bay where the famous biologist studied the tidal pool. Visit near low tide and the whole family can get up close with sea creatures in their natural habitat. The sign is small and parking for a few cars is available on the shoulder.
