We love exploring the Sooke forest. There are many old growth trees to marvel at and many times the sound of rushing water is present. The weather can be fickle, be sure to bring your rainjacket!

Sooke's biggest secret is one of Vancouver Island's largest wilderness areas now under conservation and in our backyard. Deep forests, big trees, wild flowers, fantastic wildlife. Head to the Sooke Potholes Regional Park, parking lot 2 and enjoy a walk along the Galloping Goose. If you decide to head off the Galloping Goose, park trails are not maintained and serious walking equipment and gear is a must.
