Another shopping center near us, just across the bridge from where you take the bus as well. It has 2 supermarkers, a bookstore, bakery, drugstore, even a fish-store and some more... I recommend going here if you use the Koog aan de Zaan trainstation, it's basically on your way home.

Do as the locals: eat a haring with onion at the fish shop or baked mussels with Ravicotte sauce or go to the cheese shop and buy the best cheese from the neighborhood, if you ask friendly he will probably let you taste the cheese.
