Just one exit away on the thru way (Exit 18). Nice drive to Lake Minnewaska, a glacier lake. Great hiking trails, swimming and cycling. Also get a day pass at Mohonk Mountain House or visit for lunch or dinner. Reservations a must.

Lots of great shops and tons of food options. New Paltz is the reason we never left the area. It’s a great hub for all sorts of culture, food and good times.

Town of New Paltz. Great walk up and down main street, lots of antique shops, restaurants, coffee shops and cool college town vib.
