Aberystwyth Cliff Railway is worth a visit, there's a Camera Obscura at the top of the cliff which can be accessed either by the cliff railway or by the walk up the footpath to the top. with stunning views over Aberystwyth and the Cardigan coastline it is well worth the effort. There is a restaurant/cafe up there so why not go and enjoy the relaxing views.

Take the train to the top and see all of Cardigan Bay on a clear day. Or continue walking along the coastal path.

Welcome to Aberystwyth Cliff Railway. At the northern end of Aberystwyth promenade, Constitution Hill rises dramatically from the sea, providing spectacular and uninterrupted views of the town, Cardigan Bay, and on a clear day 26 mountain peaks spanning much of the length of Wales.

At the northern end of Aberystwyth promenade, Constitution Hill rises dramatically from the sea, providing spectacular and uninterrupted views of the town, Cardigan Bay, and on a clear day 26 mountain peaks spanning much of the length of Wales. The most relaxing way to enjoy this majestic panorama is to travel by train on the longest funicular electric cliff railway in Britain, which has been transporting visitors to the summit since opening in 1896. The recently refurbished summit train station has just been completed, providing much better protection from the elements and updating the structure to ensure a better visitor experience.
