Tissington village is a short drive from the site, it's also accesed via the Tissington trail which you can walk or bike to from the site to either Tissington village, Thorpe or the 6ish miles to Ashbourne! Tissington is a perfect stop off as it's home to beautiful Tissington hall, tea rooms, sweet shop, candle workshop and craft room.

A beautiful village in the Peak district with a fine old hall and a duck pond. There are a few quirky shops. A must see during the Well Dressing Festival. The Tissington Trail can be accessed from here, a great walk for all the family along a disused railway track. Cycle hire is available nearby.

Tissington Hall is the 17th century home of the FitzHerbert family in Tissington Village near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Wonderful furniture, paintings and porcelain collection.
